Dimensions
West is built around two features you don't typically find together: a ratcheting adjustable headrest and a one-step Level conversion. At 74.5 inches wide and 35 inches tall, it reads as a contemporary loveseat: arms at 24.5 inches, seat at 17.75 inches off the floor. The ratchet neck rests click to different angles to support your head when the bed is open, which changes the experience of sleeping on a built-in mattress more than most people expect.
The Level mechanism opens in one step with gas-spring assist. The back cushions are loose; set them aside, then the seat lifts and the bed extends out from the wall. One motion, one setup step, gas-spring controlled so the lift doesn't require real effort. Wall clearance needed is 89.75 inches. Manual operation only; there's a power version of the West if you want button-press conversion.
The bed is 59.75 by 82 inches, standard queen width but two inches longer than the typical 80-inch queen spec. That extra length matters for anyone over six feet. Mattress is a five-inch cold-cured high-density foam pad built into the frame, CertiPUR certified, rated Daily Sleeper. No coil system to sag over time.
Frame is solid spruce with mortise-and-tenon joinery and birch plywood, FSC and PEFC certified. Made in Europe to order, four to six weeks. 100-plus upholstery options in fabric and leather.
West Queen Manual is for buyers who want the ratchet neck rest and the longer 82-inch bed without the added cost of a power motor. If power operation is important, the West Queen Loveseat Power handles conversion with a button press. If the neck rest isn't essential and budget matters, the Polar Queen Loveseat at 67.25 inches delivers a queen bed through a Level mechanism without the West's premium features.
