Nautica has a deep seat (27.5 inches from front edge to back) and a fixed back cushion that never needs to come off. At 85.5 inches wide, the king sofa is the flagship size of the line, and it reads as a proper three-seat sofa rather than something designed around a hidden mattress.
The Level mechanism is the most direct conversion in the Luonto lineup. One motion: you lift the fixed back cushions and the whole seat-back assembly rises, lays flat, and locks into the bed position, assisted open with a soft close, all manual. No cushion removal. No second step. For households where the sleeper gets pulled out a few times a week, that zero-removal setup makes a real difference in the friction of actually using it.
The bed is 75.5 by 79.5 inches, just fractionally under the standard 76-by-80 American king. For most sleepers, the difference is imperceptible. The mattress is a 5-inch built-in cold-cured high-density foam, CertiPUR certified, rated Daily Sleeper rather than occasional guest use.
Frame is solid spruce with mortise-and-tenon joinery and birch plywood, FSC and PEFC certified, made in the EU to order. Four to six weeks from order to delivery. Over a hundred upholstery options across fabric and leather.
Nautica King Sofa is for the living room that wants a deep, lounge-first sofa and needs a king-size bed without much daily effort to get there. If you want the same king sleeping surface but prefer the dual-motion Nest conversion and a shallower seat, the Monika King at 86.5 inches wide and 20.75-inch seat depth is the trade-off. Same daily-sleeper rating; different conversion style and sitting feel.
