What is Leather Match?

What is a Leather Match?

Leather Match is a mixed upholstery build where the seating and other high contact areas use real leather, and the less touched exterior areas use a color matched, leather like material to keep the look and feel consistent. Typical match areas include the outside arms, outside back, and sometimes the back side of loose back cushions.

Is There Any Real Leather?

Yes. We use real leather anywhere you normally touch during use, such as the seat, inside arms, and inside back. Non touch exterior panels use a coordinated match material selected to blend visually with the leather.

What Leathers are Available?

The following leathers are available in Leather Match:

  • LM1000 Grade: Soft Antique
  • LM3000 Grade: Natural Soft
  • LM4000 Grade: Labrador

These are the same leather options from our standard leather program, built in a Leather Match configuration.

Leather Match

Genuine Leather

  • Real leather on high contact areas
  • Matching material on less touched exterior panels
  • Best value for a leather look at a lower price point
  • Real leather on all upholstered panels, including the outside arms and outside back

*Note on the term: “Genuine Leather” can be used broadly to mean real leather, but in the market it can also refer to a specific lower tier label. For clarity, we recommend using “Leather Match” or “All Leather (100% Leather).”

How do I Order a Product in a Leather Match?

Order it like any other made to order piece:

  1. Select the style and configuration
  2. Choose the upholstery option LM Grade Leather Match: LM1000, LM3000, or LM4000
  3. Pick the leather color from our leather selection
  4. We will apply real leather to the high contact areas and the matching material to the outside panels

If you prefer real leather on every surface, choose the All Leather “L Grade” version instead: L1000, L3000, L4000, or L5000
